Professional, well organized and Super friendly
I made a one day safari to Mikumi and had a great time there. Collin is a very nice guy, always available to answer all the questions and explain any details. Our guide was an experienced guy, very friendly also. The Day was amazing, I enjoyed every Single Minute there. I am looking forward to a longer Safari next time I visit !

We had this good experience. Ilmaasai Epxediton Ltd. is run by Loth, who has been leading through the parks and reserves for over 20 years. And as we could observe, always finds an excellent balance between humans and animals, but also tracks down animals that others do not find. He takes time to treat customers to the experience and is attentive. He knows the light and perspective for photography from many years of experience. He's there when something goes wrong. Very reliable. And he is an excellent #safari driver who knows how to handle the car in difficult moments. He also turns off the engine to allow you to breathe the scent and sounds of the landscapes. We had tents with cook - and the - Pius - was the best when we saw the pre-packages of the others, which were consumed at the rest areas. Everything was delicious and digestible - unbelievable what was conjured up with the simplest cooking tools from Pius. We started for 5 days from Aruhsa to the various national parks, always on time as we wanted and always as long as we wanted. Tents were great and at the beginning of the wet season they proved to be waterproof. Wonderful night noises and in the morning giraffes, zebras and antelopes stroll across the square. Loth also reassures when it comes to wired animals and is always there - helpful.

incredible combination of professionality and personality - we had an amazing stay with Ilmasaai in Tanzania
We enjoyed an incredibly great time with our hosts Loth, Collin and Pius. Friends have recommended us the provider and we had in advance super good and binding contact with Catherine via mail from Germany - what followed after arrival was simply a dream. Loth as a driver knows incredibly well in the national parks and has a wealth of knowledge about each animal. The food was great, the evenings with the team at campsites perfectly social. We are incredibly happy to have chosen such a personal safari company. Thank you for everything!

4 days of incredible family safari
We've just returned from a 4-day family safari and we're still under the spell of this incredible experience. Everything was perfectly orchestrated, and driver and French guide played a key role in the success of the trip.From day one, our driver welcomed us warmly and put us at ease with his kindness and professionalism. Both shared fascinating anecdotes with us throughout the safari. Each day we were amazed by the diversity of animals we saw, from majestic lions and graceful elephants to zebras and giraffes. Our guide also took care to provide us with detailed information on the animals we encountered, as well as on the conservation efforts undertaken in the region. This made the safari not only entertaining but also educational, as we were fascinated by every discovery.The choice of accommodation was simply perfect. We stayed in comfortable lodges offering breathtaking views over the savannah. In conclusion, this 4-day family safari will remain etched in our memories. We highly recommend this experience with Ilmaasai Expedition.

5-Day Safari
We booked a 5 day safari with a mix of lodges and campsite for the accommodation. If one stays at lodges, all meals are provided by the lodge (including a lunch package). When staying at a campsite, a cook joins and prepares the meals. Even though lodges come with a lot of benefits (private and clean bathroom, a real bed, etc.), the meals prepared by the cook definitely beat the lunch boxes offered by the lodges. The safari was well organized, ilmaasai even managed to switch one of the accommodations upon our arrival to Arusha, so we could stay at a campsite in a national park. They picked us up at the airport the night before the safari started, took care of us throughout the whole safari, and organized a transfer to the airport when we got back from the safari. They even helped us post our postcards! 😊The safari itself was an amazing experience! Our driver Loth clearly had a lot of experience as a safari guide. Not only could he answer all our questions about animals, the national parks, etc., he also seemed to know the best places to spot animals and this allowed us to have see lions, leopards, girraffes, elefants and many more animals – even close by! During our whole safari, we felt very well taken care of, Loth never rushed us and we had enough time to admire the animals and take pictures.

Perfect trip!

A time-of-your-life experience
Our 6 nights / 7days trip to Arusha NP, Lake Manyara NP, Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire NP was amazing and we really had an incredible and unforgettable time!Bryson was the best guide possible, always on the lookout for something special and very knowledgeable. He really made our safari perfect! We were really impressed with the camping cooking and meals prepared by Bruce, always tasty.Our person of contact planning the trip was Catherine who always ensured all was to our liking and answering all of our questions promptly.Loved every minute and can highly recommend going on a safari with Il Maasai!

For me Ilmaasai is always the company to book my safari's with!!
In Tanzania you have hundreds of companies that offer safari-trips to the National Parks. But not so many companies can give you the feeling, that you're a special guest. A friend of the family, so to say. Ilmaasai does that.You just know and feels that this is no tourist trap. You pay a fair amount of money for an sustainable en responsible small organization. That's it. So no flashy luxury. Just a good car, a good guide and a good cook. Between 2013 en 2020 I've made at least 5 trips with Ilmaasai. The most recent in January 2020, to Tarangire National Park. Beautiful!!The rich and famous maybe will not be pleased too much; Ilmaasai does not offer big luxury.
