In the morning you will be picked up from your lodge in Arusha by our personal safari guide. Tarangire National Park is well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees. These trees can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season as they have a special technique to draw water from them. Besides, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the dry season, which is why in this season in Tarangire you can see groups of up to 250 elephants next to many more animals!

Rise and shine! It is an early departure to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you have reached the crater rim, you will drive down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera to see a range of animals and birds. The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard) and more than 500 species of birds.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening, This will be the End of your Safari.
