In the afternoon you drive enroute to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight with an excellent view of the crater floor! DAY 4 Early breakfast at 6:00 am then descend into the Crater 600mts for game drive. There is a very high possibility of spotting the big 5 in one day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Kick back and relax in your comfortable vehicle as he takes you to your hotel in Arusha. DAY 1 Depart Arusha at 07:30 am for a drive to Materuni village is a beautifully lush area to visit on the outskirts of Moshi Here you can really get to grips with the life of the local Chagga people wandering through the village and passing their homesteads Located in the picturesque foothills of Kilimanjaro Materuni has managed to retain its authentic edge over some of the other tourist attractions as it is not one of the routes for climbing Kilimanjaro Here your guide will explain all aspects of the Chagga homestead including the other crops that they grow aside from coffee You will get to see how the coffee is produced from picking the bean to roasting and then drinking a delicious cup yourself. Following your coffee tour, you will then take a short hike make sure to wear some good shoes as it can be muddy up there passing through local villages to reach the waterfalls. At sunset, you will return to camp/lodge for dinner and overnight. DAY 2 Leave Arusha at 07.30 am, drive for about 1 hour to Tarangire national park. This park is often referred to as the “home of elephants”, you have a great chance to spot elephants in large groups gathering around the Tarangire River.
